Virginia Attorney General Ken Cucinelli recently announced his intentions to attack net neutrality head on in a lawsuit designed to cripple the open Internet. Cucinelli called recent FCC regulations that help to ensure an open, accessible Internet, âthe most egregious of all violations of federal law.â
We think Kenâs being a little dramatic. Still, the OSDF will not let Virginiaâs Attorney General attack the Internet without a fight. The regulations which Cucinelli hopes to tear down in the courtroom are regulations that empower people to use the Internet free of corporate and government control. They prevent broadband providers from interfering with how any individual uses the lines.
The Open Source Democracy needs your help to stand up to Ken Cucinelli. Tell the Attorney General that any attack on net neutrality, including this carefully crafted assault against the FCC, is an attack on this generationâs greatest free speech tool. Add your signature to the letter below, and let Ken Cucinelli know that weâre paying attention and that we wonât let him block our open Internet.
